Members Recognized at University Awards Gala

Several brothers were recognized at the second annual University Awards Gala Monday night, April 27th. Brothers Michael Clark and Timmy Ray were recognized for having the highest GPA in their respective majors, while brother Will Hodges was recognized as the 2008-2009 LaGrange Society Host of the Year and as a recipient of the 2008-2009 Undergraduate Service Award. We are very proud of their accomplishments and as school winds down, we are looking forward to the summer to prepare for a great year.

Fall 2008 Recruitment

Formal recruitment for fraternities begins this week at the University of North Alabama on Tuesday, September 9th and will conclude on Saturday, September 13th. Theta Eta is looking forward to another solid recruitment class and is anxious to see the benefits from a very successful summer recruitment implemented by recruitment chairman Thomas Corum. Once again, all alumni are welcome to attend the formal night of recruitment taking place Friday, September 12th and Bid Day Saturday morning beginning at 11:00. Congress

Earlier this month several brothers of Theta Eta attended Alpha Tau Omega's 78th annual Congress in Louisville, Kentucky where the chapter received several national awards. The chapter was awarded the Gold Communications Award, the Good Samaritan National Community Service Award, numerous excellence awards and its eighth consecutive True Merit Bowl. Tyler Mills, the 2007-2008 chapter president, was also recognized as the runner up to the Thomas Arkle Clark Award, awarded to the most outstanding graduating senior in the nation.

Brothers Recognized at University Awards Gala

Several brothers of the Theta Eta chapter were recognized recently at the University of North Alabama Awards Gala on April 28th. Brother Will Hodges was recognized with an Undergraduate Service Award. Will is the upcoming president for the Theta Eta chapter. Brother Kyle Mangum was inducted into the University Hall of Fame. Other brothers also were recognized as University Man of the Year and LaGrange Host of the Year. The night was a great success for the chapter as several members were publicly recognized in front of students, faculty, alumni, and university administration.

Ala-Tau

On April 12th, 2008 brothers from across the state came together for a community service event. Brothers from Auburn University, Troy University, and the University of North Alabama met in Birmingham, AL to work on home repair projects for Habitat for Humanity. Nearly 30 brothers worked all day on jobs ranging from roofing to siding to painting. Throughout the day three homes separate homes were repaired.
